Founded by Grant Brooke in 2014, Twiga Foods started out by connecting banana farmers with urban vendors and now works with more than 13,000 farmers and 6,000 vendors selling onions, cabbages, potatoes, tomatoes and mangoes. Through Twiga Food’s platform, farmers have a guaranteed market for their fruits and vegetables, which are delivered from the company’s pack house to thousands of vendors through a fleet of mobilized trucks and vans. Helping to drive efficiencies across the company’s sales, strategy and mCommerce platform, Twiga Foods is after an experienced Senior Manager to join their team in Nairobi. You’ll be tasked with designing and implementing a delivery system for seamless orders while providing after-sales services that will include overseeing queries and complaints.
In addition to developing an integrated mCommerce route to market strategy, you’ll provide guidance and mentorship to the Sales team and design a customer service agent training program. The Senior Manager will also oversee the growth funnel in terms of customer acquisition, retention and referral while ensuring consistent sales goals and driving targets.
They’re after someone who’s a self-starter, decisive and goal-driven, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You’ll have senior management level experience in mCommerce working cross-functionally with Sales and Tech teams while thriving on changing and being comfortable with ambiguity. Drawing on your analytical and problem-solving abilities, you enjoy building things from the ground up and understand the fine balance between short-term needs and long-term investments.
